THE PROJECT
Rezum of Edmonton is a private urology clinic specializing in a 10-minute, non-surgical treatment for enlarged prostates. The goal of this project was to build a high-authority digital presence that balances medical expertise with a concierge patient experience, helping men bypass 18-month public waitlists to reclaim their quality of life.
THE CHALLENGE
The clinic was a new business entering a sensitive, technically complex medical category. The website needed to translate a highly technical procedure into clear, lifestyle-driven benefits, while maintaining the clinical authority required for Google's YMYL medical content standards. It also needed to attract high-intent, private-pay patients ready to invest $6,000+ in their health.
THE APPROACH
Visual identity built for trust
Rather than defaulting to clinical teals and emergency reds, I designed around a deep Midnight Navy palette, creating a high-end, private-clinic feel that lowers white-coat anxiety and signals a premium experience. Sophisticated serif headings lean into the surgeons' academic credentials, while high-contrast sans-serif body copy ensures accessibility for a 50+ demographic.
Outcome-driven UX
The centrepiece of the design is a visual comparison matrix that makes the value proposition immediate. By visually elevating the Rezum column, patients instantly understand "10 minutes vs. lifelong medication" without having to hunt for the benefit.
Search strategy built around patient frustration
The content strategy was built to intercept patients at peak frustration. Optimised for "No Referral Required" and "Private BPH Treatment Edmonton," positioning the clinic as the fast-track option for patients tired of 18-month public waitlists.
E-E-A-T and technical SEO
To meet Google's strict medical content standards, I implemented FAQ schema markup, strategically linked doctor profiles to University of Alberta directories and FRCSC credentials, and built a consultation form with mandatory private-pay disclaimers to ensure 100% lead quality.
THE OUTCOME
A sophisticated digital storefront that positions Rezum of Edmonton Clinic as the premier destination for minimally invasive urology in Alberta, with a scannable, mobile-friendly structure that moves patients from research to trust to action.

From New Clinic to Cited Source in Google AI Search
Within days of website launch, Rezum Clinic Edmonton began appearing in Google's AI Overview for "BPH treatment Edmonton," one of the most competitive searches a private urology clinic can target.
The site was cited by name alongside the public Alberta health system and named as one of only two private clinic options in the entire Edmonton area, with its meta description pulled directly into Google's AI-generated summary. It also landed in the "8 sites" panel that AI Overview draws from, putting a newly launched clinic in the same conversation as established providers and public institutions like the Dianne and Irving Kipnes Urology Centre.
This is what SEO-driven structure and AI-optimized content are built to do: earn visibility in the new generation of search results, not just the old blue links. For a clinic that didn't previously exist online, showing up as a trusted, named source in Google's AI Overview means patients researching BPH treatment options are seeing Rezum Clinic Edmonton before they even click through to a website—a result that's increasingly rare and increasingly valuable as more searches resolve without a single click.
